Тело почти округлой формы, очень слабо сжатое с боков. Раковинка довольно прозрачная, сероватая, с ячеистой ретикуляцией. Задняя часть брюшного края загнута внутрь и снабжена короткими гребенчатовидными щетинками. Голова низкая. Рострум острый или тупой, его конец не достигает брюшного края створок.
Всесветен.
Широкораспространенный.
