Размеры мелкие 69–115 мк. Тело прозрачное, бесцветное. Передний край складчатый при сокращении. Корона с длинным выростом. Нога очень короткая, левый палец длинный с изгибом у основания, около 1/2-1/4 дл панциря. Общая длина 110–175, длина левого пальца 40–63 мк. Самцы известны 60 мк.
Космополит.
Широко распространен.
Озера, пруды, болотистые и солоноватые воды.
Среди водной растительности.
Очень низкая численность.
