Description

Размеры средние 175–328 мк. Тело коническое, бледно жёлтое. Пердний край ровный, ушки короткие. Глазное пятно разделённое, тёмно красное. Ширина головы 95–149, длина пальцев 8–11 мк. Самцы известны 110 мк.

Geographic distribution

Евразия (Европа, Кавказ, Китай, Япония) и Африка, Северная Америка (США), Австралия; север Каспия.

Широко распространен.

Places of residence

Пресные воды, иногда слабо солоноватые.

Планктонный вид. Встечается нередко в мокром песке.
