Тонкие, длинные нематоды коричневого цвета, с нежной поперечной исчерченностью кутикулы. Ротовое отверстие открывается терминально и окружено тремя маленькими, но ясно выраженными губами.

У дефинитивных хозяев - в мелких и средних бронхах, у промежуточных - подошвенный слой мышц ноги моллюска.

Наземные моллюски (облигатные – Helicella derbentina, H.crevimargo, Pupilla inops, P.bipopulata, P.triplicata, P.signata, Truncatellina cylindrica, T.strobelli, Vallonia pulchella; субоблигатные – Pupilla muscorum, Orcula doliolum, Euompulia selecta, Metafruticicola pratensis, Zebrina hohenackeri, Chondrula tetrodon, Chondrula pupoides; факультативные – Helix lucorum, Fruticocampylaea narzanensis, Orculella scyphus, Pyramidula rupestris.
