Тело прямоугольное или цилиндрическое, прозрачное. Голова отделена насечкой. В виде венчика ресничек коловращательный аппарат. 3 пары конусовидных выростов с чувствительными ресничками. Ноги нет. Тело со спинными и брюшныи боковыми узлами, в каждом по 3 плавника (8–16 мк), соединённых с мощными мышцами по бокам.
