Раковинка с ячеистой ретикуляцией. Створки удлиненноовальные, снабженные 2–3 зубчиками на нижнезаднем углу. Голова низкая. Рострум длинный, сильно заостренный. Задние антенны с тремя щетинками на верхней, пятью – на нижней ветвях.
В России повсеместно. Северное полушарие.
Юго-Восточный Казахстан.
Литораль, лужи, болот, пруды, водохранилищ.
Моноцикличный, цикл заканчивает осенью.
Низкая.
