Вид ветвистоусых раков с крупным угловатым створкам, снабженный кильем. Голова большая, с латеральным килем. Рострум короткий. Задние антенны имеют четырехчлениковую верхнюю ветвь, снабженнную с 4 щетинками, и трехчленниковую нижнюю с 5 щетинками. Пять пар ног. Абдоминальные коготки гладкие.
Всесветен.
Юго-Восточный Казахстан.
Илистое дно и зарослей разных водоемов.
Моноцикличный и дицикличный. Предпочитает нейтральные водоемы с рН 6,5–7,5, плодовитость до 40 яиц.
