Панцирь в шейном отделе с воронковидным расширением. Скульптура в виде зубчиков или бугорков, иногда расположенных продольными рядами. Мастакс красный. Общая длина 340–375, панцирь 250х160, длина пальцев 36 мк. Самцы известны (длина 150 мк).
Космополит.
Широко распространен.
На дне среди водной растительности.
Очень низкая численность.
