Спинной киль узкий, без поперечных складок. На брюшной стороне поперечное углубление перед отверстием для ноги. Общая длина 145–160, длина панциря 110–120, ширина 75–80, высота 55–70, длина пальцев 24 мк. Самцы известны (100–126 мк длина).
Европа, Азия, Африка, Северная Америка.
Широко распространен.
Заросшие водоёмы.
Пелагиальный вид.
