Сплющенный дорсовентрально панцирь округлой или ромбовидной формы из 2 половинок. Спинной - выпуклый с высоким килем и выступом на заднем крае. Брюшной - плоский с треугольной выемкой по переднему краю. Членики ноги почти равные. Длина панциря 65-100, ширина 53-65, длина пальцев 15-20 мк.
Космополит.
В прибрежной зоне пресных и солоноватых водоёмов. В болотистых и термальных водах
