Раковина рогового цвета или желтоватая, относительно крупные (5-6 мм), прочная, непрозрачная, с тонкой исчерченностью. Обороты (4-4,5) выпуклые, нарастают быстро и равномерно. Устье овальное, немного скошенное.
Северная часть Евразии
Вероятно повсеместно. Достоверно известен из бассейна Иртыша и Алматинской области
Обитает в постоянных водоемах на растениях и грунте
Гермафродит, яйцекладущий вид, фитофаг.
