Ветвистоусый рачок. На задне-нижних краях створок находятся не более 25–36 зубчиков (обычно 15–25), голова относительно крупная, с сильно развитой дорсальной частью (40–45 % от длины тела).
Палеарктика (до 57° с.ш., но чаще встречается в южной ее части).
В озерах низовьев р.Сырдарьи.
Пелагиаль, литораль.
Вид с ограниченным ареалом.
Очень умеренно.
