Description

Створки с заметной ретикуляцией, удлиненные, снабженные килем и хвостовой иглой. Голова крупная, слабо отделенная от туловища, с рострумом. Передние антенны самки неподвижные, короткие, с 9 эстетасками, у самца подвижные, состоящие из удлиненного основания, несущего эстетаски и жгутика.

Распространен повсеместно и, как сообщается, распространен по всей Северной и Южной Америке, Европе и Австралии.
