Тело очень мало сжатое с боков. Раковинка мало прозрачная, с заметной ретикуляцией. Створки овальные, с закругленным брюшным краем. Задневерхний угол в виде небольшого заостренного выступа. Голова маленькая, сильно наклоненная книзу, отделенная от туловища выемкой. Имеется только латеральный головной киль. Рострум отсутствует.
Евразия (Западная и Восточная Европа, Кавказ, северо-запад Казахстана, Западная Сибирь).
Юго-Восточный Казахстан.
Лужи, канавы, пруды.
Моноцикличный.
Умеренно.
