Description

Постабдомен закруглённое и не выступает в виде довольно сильно выступающего острого угла. Имеет зеленовато-серый или льняной цвет, часто с коричневым оттенком.

Всесветен (кроме Австралии).

Широкораспространенный.

Бентос.

Ecological and biological characteristics

Вид часто обитает в водоемах с pH выше 7,0 и в тех, где содержание кальция выше среднего уровня (в среднем 15 мг/л). Он избегает водоемов с кислой реакцией воды (рН 3–5), предпочитая среды с повышенной щелочностью для своего развития.
